About

A stop animated film about transgressions and punishment, wrapped  in a classic American adventure tale. Four pioneer children are the sole survivors of a wolf attack while traveling West. Alone in the wilderness they hatch a scheme to float down river to find safety. Each child carries their own set of fears and illusions of security, potentially leading them to salvation or their own extinction. The film alludes to American folklore as well as horror films, such as the 1955 thriller Night of the Hunter, while weaving its own tale of pursuit, longing and folly.
